Materials
Provided
- Parks and Wildlife Code
Not Provided
- Cones (4)
- Small plastic food containers or cups
- Marker
- Small crackers, snacks, or game pieces
Activity Preparation
- Determine an area large enough for students to play a game, such as a gym, cafeteria, or outdoors. Ideally, the play area should be approximately 15 feet by 15 feet. Mark off the corners of the area with cones. Note: If the activity happens outdoors, make sure it is an area with safe ground cover as students may crawl during some stages.
- Determine the number of groups, of 4-6 students, depending on class size, that will participate.
- Provide six containers. Using a marker, label three containers with “A” and three with “B.”
- Count enough crackers so that each student can have one and evenly distribute them between the containers labeled with “A.” Next, add an additional two to three more crackers (6-9 total) to the “A” containers. Disperse the additional crackers unevenly amongst the containers.
- In containers marked with “B” add enough crackers for half of the students. Add a different number of crackers to each container.
