  • Shallow container (1 per group)
  • Cotton balls (1 per student)
  • Water
  • Plastic water bottle with cap (1 per group)
  • Hot water, Light, or heat source
  • Science journals or paper (optional)
  • Paper towels (as needed)

Activity Preparation

  • Part 1 - Cloud Models – Gather cotton balls for every student and a shallow container filled with 1/2 inch of water for each student group.
  • Part 2 - Water Cycle Models – Gather plastic water bottles with lids for every student group, hot tap water, and food coloring.
